Dear Sir:
With reference to the telephone call from Mr, Egan
to me on Tuesday, October 18, 1932, please be advised that I saw
ir. Dwight Green, United States attornsy of Chicago, and Mir. Young-
quist, assistant Attorney General, on October 19, 1932.
The hearing on the writ of habeas corpua on the pert
of Alphonse Capone was not held on that date, and has been postponed
until November 11, 1932,
Therefore, no action was requested by kr.
Green, and he stated that he did not believe any would be necessary.
There are attached hereto newspaper items concerning *
this matter which appeared in the Atlanta hewspapers.
Very truly youre,
