Your letter of January 10th, with enclosure,
has been recetved. .
With regard to your inquiry, Al Capone was
sentenced on October 24, 1931, for violation of the Federal
iacome tax iaws. He was released from the Federal Correc-
tional Institution, Terminal Island, Califormia, on January 19,
1935, and died on January 25, 1947, at Palm Island, Miami,
Florida.

by Don Whitehead which contains some data relative to Al
