ZI ascertained from him today that desired
to talk with you concerning the release of AL from
Terminal Island Penitentiary and wished to know whether it
wuld be possible for an interview with him,
I advised CIAUSSEN that thie matter was not
one in which the Bureau had any primary interest inasmuch
as the handling of prisoners is within the scope of the
Bureau of Prisons and he was not senterced as a result of
investigation conducted by this Bureau. He indicated
that hie Washington office was endeawring to handle this
matter through the Burean of Prisons and I informed him
this appeared to be the proper procedure.
