Major Charles E#Russell was interviewed by Special Agent George Je Starr of this office, and furnished to Agent Starr informa-. tion to the effect that the present headquarters of the so-called "Capone Syndicate", controlling racketeering in the dle West if East, is ps in Brocklyn, N. The Lane Democratic Club is located at about the middle of the block, and according to Major Russell, the actual headquarters of the Syndicate is located in the premises occupied by an ice cream parlor on either one of the two streets between which the Lane Democratic Club is located and at the corner of the street east of Sands Street and parallel thereto.
