Mr. Irrgang stated Byrnes informed him that Tony Sutch, formerly a member of Aiello gang, is now engaged in a juice grape racket at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Rockford, Illinois, and that Tony Butch is *gunning” for Merk sdanson for the reason thet Adamson wuwes him money and will not pay. Mr. Irrgang stated that no arrangements were made between him and the three parties above named, and at the conclusion of the confer- ence it was understood by those present and stated by Mr. Byrnes that the organization would withdraw entirely from any further participation in the juice grape market for the remainder of the present season, but that Sub- jects Schraiberg and Romanc would be permitted to conduct whatever business they desired for their own personal benefit during the balance of this sea- oon. =a2tath st Mr. Irrgang stated that after his conference with the three parties above named, he became convinced that it would be futile to continue the present investigation, and that he was not willing to furnish any more grapes to be used in an under cover investigation; fur- ther thet he was frankly concerned with his personal safety and alermed that should it become Imown to the Capone organization thet he was assiast- ing the Governnent in this investigation, the penalty for auch assistance would be his life.
