NK_92— 38 b7¢ On August 15, 1939, while a witness before tha August, 1939, Grand Jury, ZWILLMAN was directed to arswer as to what business he engaged in and with whom he worked from 1926 through 1932. On August 18, 1939, ZWILLMAN was given another opporirnity to answer this inquiry. On August 21, 193°, United States District Judge JOHNSON J. HAYFS, Southern District of New York, adjudged ZWILLIMAN in contempt of court and sentenced him to six momths at the Federal House of Detention, New York City. ZYILL AN was paroled in the custody of his attorney, A!-THUR GARPIF ID HAYS.
