This refers to your memorandum to the Attorney General +
of February 14, 1958, concerning United States Marshal Joseph F. Job's ‘
reaction to the request made by the Senate Select Committee on
Improper Activities in the Labor or Management Field that the Bureau
assist in locating Abner Zviliman, a missing witness,
Shortly after the receipt of your memorandum, during
a visit of Mr. Job to Washington, this matter was discussed with
him in dgpgil. He was advised at that time that the request by the
Committee, and the Bureau's response to it were in accordance with
arrangements previously approved by the Department. He indicated that
he ndy undersea udg the desirability of this arrangement and that he no
longer “has any intgntion of taking this matter up with.tthe New Jersey
Senators.” Jf, however, there are any further developments in this
matter APpreciate being advised in regard thereto.
