In addition to its connections however, information obtained during a recent interview has indicated the mosque was approached by individuals affiliated with the Al-Haramanian Islamic Foundation who offered to manage and financially support the mosque in exchange for being able to open an office and exert control. The AlHaramanian Islamic Foundation is a Saudi based and funded humanitarian organization alleged to be affiliated with Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network. The offer was not accepted by the members of the mosque and no further contact with the AlHaramanian Islamic Foundation has been identified.
