PAGE TwO AND WHICH WOULD SERVE AS A BASIS FOR REINSTITUTING INVESTIGATION IN THIS MATTER THE FBI WOULD ACCEPT SAME AND INITIATE APPROPRIATE INQUIRY. DURING THIS CONTACT WITH MR = s = is BAXLEY IT was APPARENT HE WANTED TWO THINGS FROM THE FBI; (1), HE WANTED FBI AGENTS TO JOINTLY PARTICIPATE WITH HIS INVESTIGATORS IN ANY NEW INVESTIGATION SHOULD IT BE INSTITUTED. (2) SHOULD FBI AGENT PERSONNEL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST MR. BAXLEY'S INVESTIGATORS, HE ASKED THAT COPIES OF THE RESULTS OF INTERVIEWS WITH CERTAIN INDIFIDUALS BE MADE AVAILABLE TO HIM, ¥ INFORMED HIM THAT SPECIAL AGENT PERSONNEL WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE TO ASSIST HIS INVESTIGATORS IN ANY INVESTIGATION QF THIS MATTER AND THAT NO INFORMATION OR RESULTS OF FBI INVESTIGATION COULD BE MADE AVAILABLE TO HIM WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING CLEARANCE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. SAC, BIRMINGHAM AGREED TO DISCUSS THIS MATTER FURTHER THROUGH AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR TWO P. M.,y 4°25-75 AT MONTGOMERY, 1 ALABAMA.
