RaHays, Superintendent of Camp Childersburg, Alabama, a “prison camp, had received instructions from Attorney Charles. Reynolds of the Legal Section of the Alabama Highway Patrol that convicts were not to be made available for interview by the FBI without a court order. . “~we = On: 12/4/63 Reynolds advised the Mobile Office there ry must have been a misunderstanding at Camp Childersburg and ' Reynolds assured the Mobile Office that his department desires : <o cooperate with the FBI in matters of mutual interest and . suggested recontact by the FBI at Camp Childersburg. Reynolds assured the Mobile Office he would send letters to all superintendents of prison camps in the State of Alabama instructing that the FBI be permitted to interview - prisoners and officials in civil rights matters.
