On November 1, 1963, two fragments of what appeared
to have once been one or more beer cans, which were located .
in the vicinity of the explosion of the shrapnel bomb on oe
September 25, 1963, in the vicinity of 1601 Center Street os
South, Birmingham, Alabama, were sent to the FBI Laboratory
to be examined for any residue which could be either
sulfuric or muriatic acid or for potassium chlorate.
On November 8, 1963, the FBI Laboratory advised
as follows: se

Q18 -Q19 Two metal fragments
Results of examinations os
No residues were recovered from the metal frag-
ments, Q18 and Q19, which could be associated with the
residues from an explosive, fuse or chemical delay device.
