This matter has been discussed with U. S. Attorney MACON L. WEAVER, who was of the opinion that the charges are frivolous and do not carry much weight and could probably be dismissed in Recorders' Court. “tr, WEAVER stated, however, that he had discussed this matter with Deputv Atternev General KATZENBACH, who indicated it was his recollection that incidents of this type would normally be handled in Federal Court. Mr. WEAVER asked how I felt ahout the matter, and I told him that as our legal revresentative I did not want to interfere with his prerogative of determining the hest way of affording protection to the agents through legal means in connec- tion with this matter.
