The September 5, 1963, Final Edition of the \
BIRMINGHAM POST HERALD, Page 5, carried an article,
"Police Inspector Has Busy Morning". The article written
by BILL MOBLEY, stated NSRP members and demonstrators led by
Dr. EDWARD R, FIELDS, Information Director, National States
Rights Party, demonstrated on the morning of September 4, 1963
at West End High School, where they were dispersed by officers
of the Birmingham Police Department. It was stated that the
group then went to Graymont Elementary School, and that the
group then went next to Ramsay High School. One of the per-

The Late Final Edition of THE BIRMINGHAM NEWS, a
daily newspaper at Birmingham, Alabama, for September 8,
1963, on Page A-4, carried an article, "Two Arrests Made
in School Disorders", The article stated that two Birmingham
men had been arrested by Birmingham Police in connection
with demonstrations on September 4, 1963 at two city schools
where desegregation had been scheduled. The article iden~
tified one of the men as DAVID STANLEY, 18, of 1865
Bessemer Road. The article stated that STANLEY was charged
with Assault With Intent to Murder for throwing rock at the
Graymont Elementary School which rock struck an officer.
