ASAC Robert Jensen advised at 2:50 p.m, that he was
receiving inquiries from the press and intended to answer them
to the effect that the FBI has entered this case and a full
investigation is being conducted, This was cleared with
Mr, Leinbaugh of Mr, DeLoach's office who indicated that this
press release would be sufficient for press inquiries but any
formal press release should be issued from Bureau headquarters,
ASAC Jensen made a request for some 35 millimeter

passed on to SAC Faisst and at 6:55 p.m, to ASAC Jensen.

At 5:35 p.m, SAC Faisst advised he had received a call
from Chief United States Deputy Marshal Dan Mogre in Birmingham
who in turn received word from Chief Marshal John McShane that
Mr, Katzenbach desired United States Marshals to escort Negro
