In the circumstances the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will wish to l e t the Seoretary of State have the results of the discussions of today's meeting on Wednesday, with a view to taking decisions very quickly thereafter. 2. ?• hope to have a copy of Mr Lynch* s report on his infonaal meeting of offioials which was specifically oalled to discuss the question of the operations of the Crown Agents, bat which ranged more broadly over some of the ether issue* raised In the note by the ?C0 (D0P0(SR)(77) f)« You may wish to invite If Lynch to report on the outcome of his meeting and then for Ur Swans to introduce the note, adding any infomatton which may have come in subsequently.
