SUB-PROJECT NO. 65 PRINCIPAL' RESEARCHER AND LOCATION: Cornell University Medical School OBJECTIVE AND DETAILS OF WORK : To study those factors which influence human behavior that could be used for achieving intel- ligence objectives. There were three efforts: (1) To better understand factors which cause an individual to defect, commit treason or change loyalties; (2) To develop skills by which potential defectors can be detected; and (3) To develop methods for increasing the chances of. defection of various target indi- viduals. Sampling techniques from information gathered from - Hungarian defectors was used.
