These ser/ices include special consultations in in and reporting of certain professional nestings and conferences, soecif ic areas of study which 111 give suecial attentic: the following: (a) Developing a classification of natural drinking situations (bars p.rn cafes) in ''hcir.ity which has wide applicability. This work has been in progress since 195 c but has those manifold difficulties of a relatively unstructured, uncontrolled sit- uation. (d) Reviewing the pilot studies of . 195° which led to the struc- tured studies of 1957> 195S and 1959* The original pilot studies ware used to develop the subsequent structured ex- periments but the data was never organised. How after pro- gressing through three years of structured experiments to field experiments, it may prove valuable no rerun to the original data and give it sufficient at.menticn to see what it can contribute .
