SUBJECT: MKUBTRA Subproject 47 1. The purpose of.' thus subproject 47 is to provide funds to continue a research program being carried out by Carl C. Pfeiffer, MO. 2. The nature of the investigations to be carried out under the direction of Dr, Pfeiffer encompasses pharmacological and clinical testing in animals and human volunteers of chemicals and biochemicals which alter behavior. Certain phases of other problems of interest to TSD will be - investigated. 3. Dr. Pfeiffer is located at the New Jersey Neuro-Psychiatric Institute in the Bureau of Research in Neurology^ind^Psychiatry, Princeton, S' New Jersey. 4. The funds for this pr'ojecfwill be transferred using the a cut-out. 5. The cost of this program for a period of one year beginning 1 June 1962 will not exceed $25, 000. 00.—To this sum must be added $1, 000.00 representing a 4% service charge to thf making the total amount $26, 000.00.
