Research Plans for 1960-61. As indicated in the accompanying progress reports and papers related to the research-supported by the grant, several crystalline substance have been isolated from Amanita Muscaria and Rivea Corymbosa. Future work will be organized to accomplish the LOllowing od, odjectives: 1. Ascertain, by means of biological testing, which, if any, of the crystalline materials exhibit significant physiological effects in test animals. If it is possible to <=. obtain a sizable quantity of Rivea Col Corymbosa from an area i where the plant is used for medicinal or occult purposes, then it is proposed that the sample be carefully investigated to ascertain if it contains indolic compounds or glycosides significantly different from the samples collected in areas where the plant is not utilized for its physiological action.
