He also said it does not make any difference to him what on he belongs to just so he has a job. advised he was at Mine A in 1932 and went over the way the bunch went. said just so he works is all that he cares about. He advised there was a meeting at the Elks: Club and that they voted to go into UMW and that that was the only meeting he attended. He furthor said he did not know why they voted that way. He stated that all he wanted was work and he did not care anything about the union at all. According to SEER cre was a notice in the paper about the meeting to be held. He advised that he heard Elshoff was going to buy the mine A and that he also heard it in the papers. He also adviscd ho did not know if Elshoff was going to reopen Winc A or not and that he never heard anything cbout going through Mine B. He #1so0 snid nobody contseted him about gcing back to Mine A. He further said he did not know if the men were satisfied with PMA or not and that he did not attend very many mevtings and that he still does not go to many. He also advised he never heard anything that Elshoff would only open Mine A as UMW. at the Elks Club ho said the men just voted over to (LW and that the chairman got up and took a vote and that acanccre ti up through someone that Carl and asked what way. He further said that after the mceting Hay dson came over but that Edmundson did not say anything but just took them into the UMW union. said he voted to go back to UMW and that he went along with the rest of the men and he said he guessed his job depended upon which way he voted and he again said he did not know why thcy voted over IAW. also said hc wasn't 2 member of ony committee and that he did not go over to Elshoff's office after the mecting nor to the Icland Hotel. He also said that since Mine A has becn UMW his’ job 4s just the same and pérhc™ &® little better now es he now has one job to do while with PMA he had threo or four things te do.
