In June 2004, Santa Barbara Assistant District Attorneys (SBADAs) Ron Zonen and Gordon Auchincloss met with Behavior Analysis Unit (BAU) at Quantico. After hearing the facts about the captioned victim, the BAU informed the SBADAs that a Federal case could still be pursued. On 08/30/2004, a conference call was held to discuss various details of the potential case.
