In another case, the postal clerk sevidently ques- tioned ihe address, and the sender had written in French “ address maintained" and then signed what was supposed to be his own signa- ture. The writer used a Continentak seven, written with a stroke through the vertical section. The first lext was as follows: Lady Maclean, 87, Iverna Court, London, W.& (Maclean's mother): “am quite all right, Don't worry. .Love to all: Teenta.” 1 Qn this message, the writer used | the Continental sevei and a capital Tee other text, to Maclean's wif¢, Was: s. Maclean Melinda, Beacon Shaw, Taisfield, near ‘Westerham, Surgey, England. “Had to jeave unexpectedly, Terribly sorry. Am quile well now, Don't worry darling, I love you. Please don't stop loving mé.~- Donald.” This was the telegram on which the postal clerk questioned the address (Westerham ig in Kent).
