Synopsis: AMERITHRAX requests that the Security Division
Reference: 279A-WF-222936-LEAD Serial 1200
Administrative: Per meeting between AMERITHRAX personnel and
ssaA[ som March 27, 2006.
Enclosure(s): Paperwork associated with the polygraph
examination of Bruce Edwards Ivins, including: One copy of the
FD-497, one copy of the questions asked of Ivins, one copy of
the FD-524, and a copy of the Consent to Interview with a
Polygraph form.
Details: On February 28, 2002, Bruce Edwards Ivins was
administered a polygraph examination. Ivins is a research
scientist at the United States Army Medical Research Institute
of Infectious Disease (USARMIID) located on Fort Detrick,
Frederick, Maryland. After the anthrax attacks of 2001, FBI
evidence was being processed at USAMRIID. As part of a
screening process, all individuals at USAMRIID who were going
to be in contact with the anthrax evidence were required to
sit for a polygraph examination. Ivins' polygraph was
administered as part of this screening process.
