Synopsis: To request assistance from_HMRU in transporting agar
slant from Building[_]to BuildingL__] at USAMRIID.
Administrative: Reference telcals between writer an b6
on 08/12/2003, and telcals between SA[ __] and Ssa on b7C
08/13/2003, respectively.
Details: Investigation conducted by the AMERITHRAX squad has
determined that an agar slant containing Ames strain Bacillus
anthracis (Ba) needs to be placed in the FBI Ba repository, a .
collection of Ames strain Ba obtained from various sources around
the nation, located in Building[___] United States Army Medical
Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), Fort
Detrick, Maryland. The slant is currently in the possession of
Dr. Brucé Ivins, Suite B3, Building 1425, USAMRIID. It is
important to note that both the Ba repository and Dr. Ivins
laboratory are both designated as Biological Safety Level (BSL) 3
space.
